AI Case Study
A notice to site visitors
This is a real-world enterprise case study delivered by VA in collaboration with IBM Client Engineering. While we are unable to disclose client identity or full implementation specifics for confidentiality reasons, we can provide fuller details to clients actively engaging with us on similar transformation initiatives.

The Opportunity
A large European enterprise engaged VA to explore how Artificial Intelligence could transform a high-volume, business-critical process that had long depended on manual intervention. The objective was clear: improve speed, accuracy, and scalability — while freeing skilled resources for higher-value work.

Our Approach
We worked closely with IBM Client Engineering, leveraging the IBM watsonx platform and related enterprise tools. The engagement followed the industry proven Value Engineering methodology, delivered in four phases:
-
Innovate: to define the business opportunity and prioritise value
-
Prepare: to ready systems, data and governance frameworks
-
Co-Create: to build and prove the concept alongside client stakeholders
-
Transition: currently underway, preparing for full-scale adoption
This phased approach allowed us to balance innovation with rigour, ensuring that the outcome was not just technically impressive but strategically aligned.

The Impact
The AI solution delivered a significant operational shift — automating a key workflow and allowing resources to be redeployed to more strategic roles within the organisation. The Proof of Concept was successfully validated by the client.
The programme has laid the foundation for further AI adoption across functions such as customer services, procurement, finance, and HR and production.
Why This Matters
This case study illustrates the power of combining AI innovation with business process reengineering and structured change management. It’s also a testament to VA’s ability to deliver enterprise-grade transformation through trusted methods and true partnership — working closely with the client team and IBM Client Engineering to co-create value using watsonx. The outcome reflects a collaborative effort built on shared goals, joint execution, and measurable results.
